Arkema, sponsor of the ESPCI’s 134th promotion

The french leader group in chemistry Arkema succeeds Withings, French flagsphip of connected objects for Health, as the sponsor of the new promotion.

ESPCI’s promotions have been sponsorized for more than 15 years. This year, the French chemical group with international outreach Arkema has been chosen. Located in more than 50 countries, with almost 20 000 employees, Arkema is indeed a leading sponsor to succeed prestigious companies such as Areva, L’Oréal or Nestlé. Arkema - which innovation is written in its DNA - supplies its customers with practical solutions to face challenges of the 21st century, in the development of alternative energies, access to drinking matter, bio-sourced materials or even lightening materials solutions.

For the next three years, this partenership will allow to forge strong ties between Arkema and ESPCI. It will translate especially into site visits, internship positions, and interview simulations. The industrialist will also make a financial contribution to support the activities organized by the Students Bureau (BDE).

This prestigious partnership has been formalized on September 21st for a signing ceremony, with Marie-Christine Lemardeley, Deputy mayor of Paris, responsible for Higher Education, Research and student life, President of ESPCI, Jean-François Joanny general director of ESPCI, representatives from Arkema and the President of the Students Bureau.

For the occasion, the Director of Arkema’s Technical Polymers business unit confided he was deeply attached to the ESPCI as he himself graduated from the school. Member of the 100th promotion, he declared being « very proud to come back and be chosen to succeed great names of the French industry ».
