Mathias Fink, directeur de l’Institut Langevin et professeur ESPCI, vient de recevoir deux prix internationaux : le Rayleigh Award et la médaille Ian Donald.

- The 2012 Rayleigh Award

Mention : for outstanding contributions to the physics and application of time reversal methods and for academic and commercial development of shear wave imaging.

A propos du Rayleigh Award :
It represents the highest honor for achievement within the UFFC Society in the field of Ultrasonics. The achievement may be in technical innovations, research, education, publications and related professional endeavors. Typically, the recipient will have demonstrated these accomplishments over a sustained period of time.

The Ian Donald Medal - ISUOG

Mention : for his pioneering work in developing new medical imaging methods and signal processing

A propos de l’International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG ; www.isuog.org)

ISUOG is a professional membership association that aims to improve women’s healthcare services through the provision and broad dissemination of the highest quality education and research information around ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology. The Society was founded by Professor Stuart Campbell in 1990 and has today more than 5000 members from all over the world. The Society has its own journal (Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology) and organizes annual World Congresses.
