ESPCI Paris – PSL rises in the 2026 rankings
Once again this year, ESPCI stands out among the top French engineering schools:
Ranked 3rd in L’Usine Nouvelle’s 2026 rankings, a position it has held for the second consecutive year, demonstrating the consistency of its academic and scientific performance.
Ranked 4th in L’Étudiant’s rankings, the school has made significant progress, climbing 11 spots to reach the 4th position, highlighting the growing appeal of its educational model.
Ranked 4th in the DAUR rankings, an independent ranking of French higher education institutions.
Ranked 9th in Le Figaro’s rankings, a stable position that confirms the consistency and strength of the School’s performance, which closely aligns with the results obtained in the three other leading rankings.
This result attests to the strength of the ESPCI model, which is based on a rigorous, interdisciplinary, and highly experimental scientific education. Starting in their first year, engineering students receive hands-on training in leading research laboratories alongside renowned faculty members, fostering curiosity, independence, and the ability to innovate. Half of their time is devoted to laboratory work and scientific projects conducted in teams.
The engineering program at ESPCI Paris – PSL combines scientific rigor, industry relevance, and an international perspective, thereby preparing engineers to tackle the technological and societal challenges of tomorrow.
These impressive rankings reflect the commitment of the entire school community,” says Vincent Croquette, director of ESPCI Paris – PSL. “They embody a dynamic approach to education, a pursuit of excellence, and a curriculum where knowledge, expertise, and innovation come together to serve society.
