Why ESPCI Alumni?
Within the global landscape of higher education, ESPCI’s educational program stands out for its intellectual ambition (70% of engineering graduates go on to pursue doctoral studies, for example) and for its unique pedagogical principles: the ability to transcend disciplinary boundaries between physics, chemistry, and biology; experimental agility; and a strong culture of curiosity and innovation—forged through hands-on scientific research training.
ESPCI Paris alumni remain deeply attached to their school because of the outstanding quality of the education they received. This education enables them today to devise new solutions to industrial problems and to make a unique contribution to addressing major societal challenges.
ESPCI Alumni draws its strength from this genuine gratitude toward the School and from the shared pride of having been educated by the best. It embodies the desire to ensure that this exceptional education—and in particular the ESPCI engineering degree—becomes even better known and recognized.
A sustainable, intergenerational network
The small class sizes foster in-depth and fruitful exchanges, which lead to lasting and mutually enriching friendships. ESPCI Alumni embodies this enduring network forged by each graduate within their own class and with those in adjacent classes.
ESPCI Alumni is also a tangible expression of the intergenerational support among its members: toward engineering students and recent graduates, but also toward our elders, who built the School’s reputation for excellence before us.
A long-standing partner of ESPCI Paris
Apart from the City of Paris, ESPCI Alumni is ESPCI Paris’s longest-standing partner.
The president of ESPCI Alumni is an ex officio member of the School’s Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of the ESPCI Paris Fund.
ESPCI Alumni is governed by a 24-member Board of Directors, composed of graduates from the 85th through the 138th classes of engineers.
The association is also a founding member of PSL Alumni and UNAFIC, which offer its members exclusive access to even broader and more diverse networks and academic fields.
Our Initiatives
In the age of social media and LinkedIn, an alumni association is only relevant if it offers a more personalized connection, better-targeted resources, and more immediate and effective access to specialized and reliable expertise.
ESPCI Alumni provides this added value to engineering students and graduates through a variety of community-based initiatives.
Mutual Aid and Solidarity
These two values are the primary historical purpose of ESPCI Alumni.
Thanks to its members’ dues, donations, and expertise, our association provides moral and financial support to graduates and engineering students who are going through a difficult time or who need a little help.
This assistance may take the form of interest-free loans, grants, legal aid, housing guarantees, or connections with experts.
ESPCI Alumni also recognizes academic achievement, notably by awarding three prizes each year for the third-year industrial internship, worth €2,500, €1,500, and €1,000.
The association also supports certain projects led by alumni and engineering students, as well as student club activities, which help students develop valuable skills for the professional world.

Jobs and Careers
ESPCI Alumni is a hub for a wide range of job openings, doctoral programs, and internships tailored to graduates based on the level of experience required.
The association also offers coaching sessions to alumni who are transitioning careers.
CV Book and Mentoring
The ESPCI Alumni Employment and Career Center works with the School’s Corporate Relations Department to produce the annual CV Book featuring recent graduates who have completed their studies.
ESPCI Alumni has also launched a joint mentoring program with the school for engineering students.
Every year, an information and matching session is held in February or March.
Careers and Entrepreneurship
ESPCI Alumni regularly conducts surveys on first jobs and career paths and hosts an annual information day on careers for ESPCI engineers.
Every year, ESPCI alumni launch at least 10 startups, primarily in the DeepTech sector.
To highlight and strengthen this momentum, ESPCI Alumni launched an alumni entrepreneurship hub in 2024, which organizes a series of dedicated conferences.
