Immerse yourself in scientific heritage as you explore instruments and faithful recreations of historic experiments conducted at ESPCI Paris. Through a series of exhibits, come observe, understand, and admire Pierre and Marie Curie’s radioactivity experiment, Paul Langevin’s first sonar, Curie’s experiment on magnetism, and Féry’s telescope.
Each experiment is accompanied by an explanatory panel and facsimiles of laboratory notebooks or scientific correspondence from that era (Einstein, Langevin, Curie, etc.) preserved at ESPCI Paris – PSL.
Come take part in a radioactivity measurement based on the experiment conducted by Pierre and Marie Curie that led to their discovery of radium and polonium.
